Fuel Up

A rule I like to live by is to eat cold foods in the summer and warm foods in the winter. Nourishing our bodies with whole nutrient-dense foods is important in our day-to-day, and particularly important when we are engaging in any sport or activity that demands extra energy from our bodies. Here are my go-to breakfasts before I buckle into my boots and step into my skis.

    1. Oatmeal with almond milk and topped off with flaxseed, banana and walnut
    2. Homemade granola with steamed oat milk
    3. Chia seed pudding with fresh berries and a sprinkle of granola

Local Coffee House is my must-visit for pre-ski breakfast or JÜS for a great smoothie and celery juice. At Local, I like to order an Americano with oat mylk or a macadamia mylk latte. Their avocado toast is pretty delicious too!
