Fuel Up

A rule I like to live by is to eat cold foods in the summer and warm foods in the winter. Nourishing our bodies with whole nutrient-dense foods is important in our day-to-day, and particularly important when we are engaging in any sport or activity that demands extra energy from our bodies. Here are my go-to breakfasts before I buckle into my boots and step into my skis.
- Oatmeal with almond milk and topped off with flaxseed, banana and walnut
- Homemade granola with steamed oat milk
- Chia seed pudding with fresh berries and a sprinkle of granola
Local Coffee House is my must-visit for pre-ski breakfast or JÜS for a great smoothie and celery juice. At Local, I like to order an Americano with oat mylk or a macadamia mylk latte. Their avocado toast is pretty delicious too!
