About Us and Our Products
Our favorite run on Aspen Mountain is Aztec. Named after an old mining claim, Aztec is one of the steepest pitches on our home mountain and is an important part of the America’s Downhill World Cup Course. We grew up watching our heroes descend Aztec at death-defying speeds and today it’s one of the first places we go on a powder day. Since we produce technical garments, we added an “h” and named our company Aztech Mountain.
The majority of our products are produced in Europe, between Italy and Slovakia. All of our technical outerwear is produced in Slovakia, the off-mountain outerwear is generally produced in Italy. Some of our lifestyle pieces including woven shirts and sweaters as well as our and three layer shell systems are produced in China.
You can either email us your measurements and how you like things to fit (fitted vs. oversized) at info@aztechmountain.com and we'll recommend a size, or call our headquarters at +1 212.966.0929 and speak with one of our team members during regular service hours.
It's important to remember that some collections, like the Hayden 3L Shell Group, use unisex sizing, so women's and men's sizing in the same letter size aren't equivalent.
Practices like mulesing that cause harm are never permitted by our suppliers and our suppliers are committed to never posing a risk of injury to the sheep.
We are committed to delivering the highest quality products while reducing environmental impact across our supply chain. Our network of suppliers shares our focus on climate sustainability while striving for innovation and efficiency.
Starting in 2021, Aztech Mountain began integrating sustainable fabrics throughout the collection. Our core technical nylon is now a Global Recycled Standard (GRS) certified 4-way stretch, waterproof, and breathable recycled nylon. Moreover, we use PFAS-free nylon, meaning our products do not contain the harmful "forever chemicals" linked to significant health risks. Our down filled programs continue to use RDS-certified traceable down or recycled down fill.
We remain committed to pursuing a more sustainable future for Aztech Mountain — without compromising on the performance and feel we demand from our garments.

How Do Our Products Perform?
The Milano-knit Merino wool in our Matterhorn Sweater collection is treated twice with Teflon. The first time when the wool is in its raw state and then again when the garment is finished. The Teflon coating will allow water to bead off of the Merino wool and will also prevent pilling, keep your sweater looking good for years!
Our warmest jackets are the Nuke Suit, Elk Mountain Puffer and Shadow Mountain Parka. These jackets are rated to -10° F or -23° C.
Throughout our collection, we use some of the most technical fabrics available. Our most common waterproof rating is 20,000mm with a breathability rating of 10,000 m2/24hrs (or higher). This combination provides ample water-resistance without sacrificing breathability. All of the ski jackets are seam sealed throughout.
Fitment, Repairs, and Care
When cleaning any technical clothing, including the Wool Nuke Suit or Capitol Peak Parka, we suggest spot cleaning whenever possible. If your garment is dirtier, cold water machine wash with a tech wash product when necessary, hang-dry to allow for as much water to drip out as possible, tumble dry on low heat with tennis balls or dryer balls to dry out the down fill and restore the loft to the garment.
We stand behind our products 100% and will always work with our customers to ensure any issues are resolved in a timely manner. Often the garment needs to be sent back to our factory for the repair to be completed. Simply reach out to us at service@aztechmountain.com and we will work with you to get your garment fixed.
For garments purchased within the prior 365 days, Aztech Mountain is happy to cover the cost of all repairs that are a result of manufacturer imperfections or failures. All repairs that are the result of normal wear and tear, user error or apply to products purchased more than 365 days ago are subject to a repair fee. Aztech Mountain will communicate this cost prior to completion of the repair.
All garments submitted for repair need to be professionally cleaned and all pockets emptied prior to being shipped to Aztech Mountain for repair. Garments deemed dirty by our factory will be subject to a $75 cleaning fee to be paid before return of the garment. The customer is responsible for the inbound cost of shipping the garment. Aztech Mountain will cover the cost of return shipment after the repair is completed.
